Advancing Career and Educational success beyond K-12

Amount: Up to $50,000

Application Deadline: January 5, 2026

Goal: Promote vocational training and skills development that lead to long-term educational and career success. This initiative seeks to empower youth ages 16–24 by providing resources in California that promote education, career readiness, stable housing, and emotional well-being, such as for those transitioning out of the foster care system.

Eligible applicants include California-based nonprofit organizations, community colleges, and workforce development programs that provide career-focused tutoring, technical skill-building, apprenticeships, or industry-recognized certification opportunities. Priority will be given to initiatives serving underserved youth populations, including students from low-income communities, and those transitioning out of foster care

Proposals should include clear, measurable outcomes such as improved academic performance, successful program completion, credential attainment, and job placement or advancement. Programs that collaborate with schools, employers, or community organizations to create sustainable career pipelines are especially encouraged to apply.
